What is your role with The Center and what are you most excited about?

I am a Regional Literacy Specialist.

I am excited about the impact I will have on improving literacy across our state.

What is your background?

I previously worked as a high school English teacher for seventeen years at various schools across the region I currently support as a Regional Literacy Specialist.

What is your favorite childhood book or literacy memory?

I loved Curious George books as a child because each book was a new adventure. I, like Curious George, enjoyed learning about the world around me and was a curious child. I continue to embrace a love of learning.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?

I would be on a beautiful beach with a book in my hand soaking up the sun and enjoying the serenity of the ocean.
